This is my story and I'm sticking to it
The holiday season got lost on the way to our house. Oh, the calendar may say that Dec 25 was yesterday, but the holidays have yet to arrive. Maybe they'll find their way here sometime in January. We'll just have to wait and see.

Don't stress, go with the flow. Next year, make it your goal to
1)not go near any malls for the six weeks leading up to Christmas
2)announce to all that you are not doing presents, but giving to a charity instead
3)don't buy a tree, but decorate a piece of furniture instead (one of those 3-panel folding bamboo screens works a treat if you've got one)
4)get everyone attending your Christmas dinner to contribute one part of the meal (and let them know which part they are responsible for!)
5)plan to have only enough food that can be consumed completely on the day
6)write out your cards in January when you've got much more time, and recipients will have more time to read them rather than having them get lost in the deluge.
7)consider moving to the southern hemisphere where it is summer, the heat slows everyone down, people take their annual vacations and are in double relax mode!
A few good ideas there. Thanks!
